What Is The Resource Center?

The apostle Paul declared, "Do not conform anymore to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of "(Rom 12:2). The Discipleship Training Resource Center at Uptown Church is a collection of books, commentaries, and other materials designed to help members of Uptown church grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ by renewing their minds.

Who Should Use The Resource Center?

The materials at the Resource Center are available for all members of Uptown Church, but are particularly useful for the following:

Members who are simply looking for solid Christian books to encourage their walk with Christ.
Members who are going through the Discipleship Training Manual with a menntor and need resources to further

Life Group Leaders or Teachers who are looking for commentaries and other tools to aid in their preparation.
Members who want to take their study of the Bible and theology to the next level.
Members who are witnessing to unbelieving friends and need additional information or books to recommend.

What Type of Material is in the Resource Center?

The Resource Center consists of a variety of materials all available to be checked out at no charge.

Books: The resource center has a growing collection of books, commentaries, and reference tools, ideal for Life Group Leaders and teachers.
Reading Lists: Ever wondered what to read on any given subject? We have developed extensive reading lists that are divided into categories; e.g., Theology, Biblical Studies, Church History, Evangelism, Apologetics, Church Planting, and more.
CDs/Tapes/Videos: There are a number of tape series on a wide variety of topics available. Some examples include, Mars Hill Audio by Ken Meyers, Renewing Your Mind with R.C. Sproul, and sermon tapes from men like John Piper and Tim Keller.
Self-Study Courses: We have several self-contained courses in various subjects from some of the leading Christian scholars of the day. The courses are usually contained on audio or video tapes and come with a study guide and reading assignments.
Internet Resources: We have compiled a list of Christian web sites that deal with a variety of different subject areas, including apologetics, reformed theology, Christian philosophy, creation-evolution, church history, and more.
Church Curriculum: All the core curriculum for the Discipleship Training program is cataloged and stored at the Resource Center along with bible studies on various books of the Bible. These are great materials for Life Group leaders and other teachers.

Where is the Resource Center?

The Resource Center is conveniently located in Room 212 at the Great Aunt Stella Center, just a few feet from the main sanctuary. Go through the exit to the right of the stage and it is the first room on the right. Although still a modest collection, the resource center is growing more and more each year. Feel free to stop by before or after the worship service and check out some materials.
