1. The fear of death is man’s greatest fear.  Everything in life is darkened by it’s overwhelming shadow.  Fear has a way of enslaving us to the thing in which we are afraid of.  As Christians we no longer have to fear death, how is this so?

2. Reflect on Romans 6:1-9.  In looking to Jesus how do we know that we have been saved from death to life?

3. God has shown his mercy and glory in conquering the grave for us as sinners.  When thinking evangelistically about our friends and family how does this truth of the gospel bring rest and freedom for those that are lost?

What we have so far said of the Sacrament abundantly shows that…it was ordained to be frequently used among all Christians in order that they might frequently return in memory to Christ’s Passion, by such remembrance to sustain and strengthen their faith, and urge themselves to sing thanksgiving to God and to proclaim his goodness….
